NetBird WireGuard Mesh VPN with Zero Trust Access Controls

NetBird creates encrypted WireGuard-based overlay networks with SSO, MFA, and granular access controls. It provides peer-to-peer connectivity with NAT traversal, centralized management via a web UI and REST API, and supports self-hosted deployment for secure private networking.

Installation

Requirements and caveats from upstream:

• Docker installed on the VM with the docker-compose plugin (Docker installation guide) or docker with docker-compose in version 2 or higher.
• Once finished, you can manage the resources via docker-compose

Basic usage or getting-started notes:

• Download and install NetBird at https://app.netbird.io/install

• Follow the steps to sign-up with Google, Microsoft, GitHub or your email address.

• Check NetBird admin UI.
