This MCP server provides weather information tools using the National Weather Service API, built with Express.js and Node.js for deployment on Azure App Service. It offers two core weather tools: retrieving active weather alerts for US states and getting detailed forecasts for specific coordinates, both utilizing official government APIs that require no authentication. The implementation features both HTTP transport for MCP Inspector connectivity and a web test interface for manual verification, includes comprehensive Azure deployment automation via Azure Developer CLI with Bicep infrastructure templates, and supports both local development and cloud hosting scenarios, making it valuable for applications requiring reliable US weather data integration.
