Guardian is an MCP safety middleware layer that wraps file operations, bash commands, and search tools with validation, error explanations, and circuit-breaker protection. It intercepts high-frequency tool errors before execution, provides guidance for tool usage and recovery, and prevents infinite retry loops through failure circuit breakers. The server runs as a local Python stdio service within the project environment, licensed under AGPL-3.0.
