What it does
Integrates with the Congress.gov API to provide access to US legislative data including bills, voting records, member activities, committee proceedings, and CRS reports through organized tools for policy analysis and government transparency research.
CongressMCP provides comprehensive access to US congressional data through the Congress.gov API, consolidating 113+ legislative operations into six organized bucket tools covering legislation, members & committees, voting records, congressional records, committee intelligence, and professional research services. Built by Physinomos Inc. using FastMCP with Python, it features tier-based access control (currently all operations available to all tiers with usage limits), Supabase authentication, Stripe integration for subscriptions, and specialized tools for searching bills, tracking votes, analyzing member activities, accessing CRS reports, and monitoring committee proceedings. The implementation uses operation-based routing within bucket tools to maintain clean interfaces while supporting complex legislative research workflows, making it valuable for policy analysis, government transparency applications, and AI assistants requiring detailed congressional information.
