What it does
MCP gateway that consolidates multiple upstream MCP servers behind a single endpoint, with tool deduplication, per-upstream authentication, and Prometheus metrics.
MCPstead is an MCP gateway that fronts multiple upstream MCP servers behind a single /mcp endpoint. It maintains persistent connections to upstream servers with automatic reconnection, aggregates their tools under qualified names to prevent collisions, supports per-upstream authentication, JSON or SSE responses, configurable tool caching TTLs, and exposes Prometheus metrics. Configuration supports hot reloading without restart.
