Obsidian Semantic Search provides a local, read-only MCP server for searching Obsidian vaults using hybrid semantic and keyword matching. It builds a SQLite index from your vault using Ollama embeddings stored entirely on your machine, then exposes tools for indexing, searching, and reading notes. Only search, read, index, and status operations are exposed — no write access to the vault is possible.
