Forge is a workflow engine that runs AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini) through a structured lifecycle with isolated git branches per task, automated CI checks, and review gates before merging. Exposes an MCP JSON-RPC endpoint alongside REST API, CLI, and web UI, all in a single local binary. Supports multi-agent parallel task execution with SQLite-backed state and no cloud dependencies.
