Load-test HTTP endpoints with reproducible attack profiles and latency reports before rollout with Vegeta

Run constant-rate HTTP attacks, capture binary results, and generate reports or plots before capacity changes and releases.

Prerequisites

Vegeta CLI and a targets file or piped HTTP target definitions

Installation

Use the upstream install or setup path that matches your environment:

• $ brew update && brew install vegeta
• git clone https://github.com/tsenart/vegeta
• make vegeta
• Make sure open file descriptor and process limits are set to a high number for your user on each machine

Basic usage or getting-started notes:

• Easy to install and run (static binary, package managers, etc).

• Pre-compiled executables
