procs Modern Process Viewer CLI

A modern replacement for ps written in Rust. procs provides colorized, human-readable process listings with multi-column keyword search, TCP/UDP port display, Docker container names, and tree views.

Installation

Use the upstream install or setup path that matches your environment:

• brew install procs
• cargo install procs

Requirements and caveats from upstream:

• Docker container name

• Show Docker container name

• If you have access permission to docker daemon ( unix:///var/run/docker.sock ), Docker column is added.

Basic usage or getting-started notes:

• Usage

• Download binary

• Download from release page, and extract to the directory in PATH.
