Mail Shadow is an MCP server that creates a local SQLite copy of IMAP mailboxes and exposes read-only email access to AI agents. It provides 7 tools for listing accounts and folders, retrieving recent activity, fetching email content, full-text search via SQLite FTS5, thread retrieval, attachment downloading, and generating temporary attachment links. Incremental syncing and optional IMAP IDLE support keep the local database current without granting agents direct mail server access.
