What it does
Proxy server that reduces tool overload by wrapping upstream MCP servers with meta-tools for discovery, description, and execution
Lens is an MCP proxy server that solves the tool discovery problem by wrapping upstream MCP servers (currently GitHub) with a simplified interface. Instead of exposing dozens of tools directly, it provides three meta-tools: search_tools for keyword-based discovery, describe_tool for retrieving schemas, and execute_tool for running discovered tools. The proxy auto-activates underlying tools during sessions as they're executed, keeping the initial context window minimal while maintaining full functionality.
