The target is\nnot prettier prose; it is a first screen that makes the repo's value, proof,\ninstall path, and maturity obvious to a fresh outsider.\n\n## Source Standard\n\nUse the Zonic/Evensong public surface as the design DNA:\n\n- tactical telemetry over marketing copy;\n- strong project name, short claim, visible proof, then navigation;\n- industrial grid language: sparse sections, tight labels, mono metadata,\n  restrained badges, sharp boundaries;\n- public/private boundary stated clearly;\n- evidence links before long narrative;\n- no mascots, lore, fake momentum, private screenshots, raw logs, or internal\n  run IDs in public docs.\n\n## When To Use\n\nUse this for:\n\n- README or repo-front-page polish;\n- public repo metadata, topics, social-preview, examples, screenshots, or demo\n  link updates;\n- turning an internal workbench-quality repo into a public adoption surface;\n- matching Evensong/Zonic visual and trust quality across multiple repos;\n- \"senior dev README uplift\", \"brand design\", \"make this repo public-ready\",\n  \"adopt zonicdesign.art\", or similar requests.\n\nDo not use this to fake traction, invent benchmarks, rewrite unrelated code, or\nspray the same template across repos without repo-specific proof.\n\n## Brand Gates\n\nEvery uplift should pass these gates:\n\n| Gate | Requirement |\n| --- | --- |\n| First-screen clarity | Project name, one-line claim, audience, and status visible before scrolling. |\n| Proof before prose | Demo, screenshot, CLI output, benchmark, live URL, or PR evidence appears early. |\n| Fresh-clone path | Install/run/test commands are current and scoped to this repo. |\n| Architecture map | Human and agent can locate main modules, docs, examples, and ownership boundaries. |\n| Maturity labels | Stable, experimental, research, internal, or archived surfaces are not mixed. |\n| Public safety | No secrets, private IDs, raw transcripts, screenshots, or unreviewed claims. |\n| Community path | Issues, contribution route, license, examples, and support boundary are clear. |\n\n## Workflow\n\n1. Inspect live repo state: `pwd`, `git status --short --branch`, `git remote -v`.\n2. Read current `README.md`, package metadata, docs map, examples, and public\n   assets only as needed.\n3. Identify the strongest available proof. If proof is missing, add a clear\n   \"needs proof\" residual risk instead of inventing one.\n4. Draft the README around proof, not vibes:\n   - name and claim;\n   - status badges only if accurate;\n   - public screenshot/demo/CLI evidence;\n   - quickstart;\n   - architecture map;\n   - examples;\n   - maturity and safety boundary;\n   - contribution path.\n5. Update adjacent public surfaces when relevant: package description, topics\n   recommendation, docs links, examples, and public image references.\n6. Run touched-path checks. At minimum: `git diff --check`, link/file existence\n   checks for local docs, and repo-specific build/test commands if README\n   quickstart changed.\n7.
