Plays the role of interviewer, asks follow-ups, scores answers against hiring rubrics, and provides detailed feedback. Supports all round types: product sense, strategy, analytical, technical, behavioral.","description":"# Mock Interviewer Skill\n\nRun an interactive mock PM interview simulating real interview conditions at AI companies.\n\n## When to Use\n- User says `/mock-interviewer` to start a mock session\n- User asks \"Can you interview me for [company]?\"\n- User wants to practice a specific round type\n- User wants end-to-end interview simulation\n\n## How It Works\n\nThis is an INTERACTIVE skill. Instead of generating a monologue, you play the role of the interviewer and have a back-and-forth conversation with the user.\n\n## Setup Phase\n\n### Step 1: Configure the Mock\nAsk the user (or accept from arguments):\n- **Company**: Any frontier AI company (or generic)\n- **Round type**: Product Sense / Product Strategy / Analytical / Technical / Behavioral\n- **Difficulty**: Standard / Hard / Curveball\n- **Duration**: 25 min / 35 min / 45 min\n\n### Step 2: Set the Scene\n\"Welcome! I'm [interviewer name], a PM at [company]. Thanks for joining today. I'm going to ask you a [round type] question. I'll follow up as we go. Ready?\"\n\n## Interview Phase\n\n### The Question\nSelect or generate a question appropriate for the company and round type.\n\n**Question Selection Criteria:**\n- Relevant to the company's actual products and challenges\n- Appropriate difficulty level\n- Tests the specific competencies of that round type\n- Based on real interview questions reported online where possible\n\n### Follow-up Behavior\nAfter the user answers each section, respond as a real interviewer would:\n- **Probing deeper**: \"Interesting. Can you go deeper on X?\"\n- **Redirecting**: \"I hear you on that. Let's focus more on Y.\"\n- **Challenging**: \"I'm not sure I buy that. What about Z?\"\n- **Time management**: \"We have about 10 minutes left. Let's move to metrics.\"\n\n### Interviewer Persona Archetypes\n\n**The Ambitious Interviewer:**\n- Direct, fast-paced, pushes for ambition\n- \"That's fine, but what would the 10x version look like?\"\n- Wants to see bold thinking and conviction\n\n**The Safety-Focused Interviewer:**\n- Thoughtful, probes for nuance and safety awareness\n- \"What could go wrong here? How would you think about the risks?\"\n- Wants to see careful reasoning and intellectual humility\n\n**The Research-Minded Interviewer:**\n- Rigorous, scientifically minded, pushes for precision\n- \"What evidence would you need to validate that assumption?\"\n- Wants to see structured thinking and research awareness\n\n## Scoring Phase\n\nAfter the interview concludes, provide a detailed scorecard:\n\n### Overall Rating\n- **Strong Hire** / **Hire** / **Lean Hire** / **Lean No Hire** / **No Hire**\n\n### Dimension Scores (1-4 scale)\n\n**For Product Sense rounds:**\n| Dimension | Score | Notes |\n|-----------|-------|-------|\n| Problem Framing & Clarifications | /4 | |\n| User Empathy & Segmentation | /4 | |\n| Creativity & Solution Quality | /4 | |\n| Prioritization & Trade-offs | /4 | |\n| Metrics & Measurement | /4 | |\n| Communication & Structure | /4 | |\n\n**For Strategy rounds:**\n| Dimension | Score | Notes |\n|-----------|-------|-------|\n| Strategic Framing | /4 | |\n| Market & Competitive Analysis | /4 | |\n| Option Generation | /4 | |\n| Recommendation Quality | /4 | |\n| Risk Awareness | /4 | |\n| Communication & Structure | /4 | |\n\n**For Analytical rounds:**\n| Dimension | Score | Notes |\n|-----------|-------|-------|\n| Problem Clarification | /4 | |\n| Metric Selection (NSM + tree) | /4 | |\n| Analytical Rigor | /4 | |\n| Guardrail Awareness | /4 | |\n| Trade-off Reasoning | /4 | |\n| Communication & Structure | /4 | |\n\n**For Technical rounds:**\n| Dimension | Score | Notes |\n|-----------|-------|-------|\n| Technical Scoping | /4 | |\n| System Design Quality | /4 | |\n| Depth of ML/AI Understanding | /4 | |\n| Trade-off Analysis | /4 | |\n| Product Connection | /4 | |\n| Communication & Structure | /4 | |\n\n**For Behavioral rounds:**\n| Dimension | Score | Notes |\n|-----------|-------|-------|\n| Story Specificity | /4 | |\n| Action Depth (60% rule) | /4 | |\n| Results & Impact | /4 | |\n| Self-Awareness & Growth | /4 | |\n| Company Fit Signal | /4 | |\n| Communication & Structure | /4 | |\n\n### Detailed Feedback\n- **What went well** (3 specific things)\n- **What to improve** (3 specific, actionable items)\n- **Key moment analysis**: The strongest and weakest moments of the interview\n- **Suggested practice**: Specific areas to drill for continued improvement\n\n### Comparison to Framework\nShow how the answer compared to the ideal framework structure (reference the corresponding skill: product-sense, product-strategy, analytical-pm, technical-pm, or behavioral-pm).\n\n## Output Format\nThis is an interactive, conversational skill. Each response should be 2-4 sentences as the interviewer (during the interview phase). The scoring phase is a detailed write-up (~800 words).\n\n## Tips for Maximum Value\n- Set a real timer for the duration\n- Answer verbally (type your spoken answer)\n- Don't look at frameworks during the mock — practice recall\n- Do 2-3 mocks per round type for best results","tags":["mock","interviewer","skills","aroyburman-codes","agent-skills","claude-code","claude-skills","frameworks","metrics","pm-tools","product-management","product-strategy"],"capabilities":["skill","source-aroyburman-codes","skill-mock-interviewer","topic-agent-skills","topic-claude-code","topic-claude-skills","topic-frameworks","topic-metrics","topic-pm-tools","topic-product-management","topic-product-strategy"],"categories":["pm-skills"],"synonyms":[],"warnings":[],"endpointUrl":"https://skills.sh/aroyburman-codes/pm-skills/mock-interviewer","protocol":"skill","transport":"skills-sh","auth":{"type":"none","details":{"cli":"npx
